Put the honest grader on your site

A free, lightweight tool your readers can use without leaving your page: paste a cash price and the points it costs, get an honest grade scored against conservative valuations: including when the answer is “just pay cash.” No signup. Calculations use the dated valuations bundled with the widget.

1See it live

This is the actual widget, running right here. Try it: it grades as you type and adapts to light or dark automatically.

2Copy the embed code

Paste this wherever you can add HTML: a blog post, a sidebar, a newsletter, a forum signature. That's the whole setup.

<iframe src="https://honest-travel-ten.vercel.app/embed/grade"
  title="Grade a points redemption: Honest Points"
  width="100%" height="468" loading="lazy"
  style="border:0;width:100%;max-width:480px"></iframe>
<p style="font:13px/1.5 sans-serif;margin:6px 0 0">
  Free <a href="https://honest-travel-ten.vercel.app">points redemption grader</a> by Honest Points
</p>

The widget sizes itself to its container up to 480px wide. The attribution line below it is a normal link you're welcome to keep: it's how new readers find the full tool.

3Why publishers use it

Free to embed

No account or key. Copy the iframe snippet into a page that supports HTML.

Honest by default

Grades use deliberately conservative valuations and will tell your readers to pay cash when points are a bad deal. Trust, not hype.

Dated planning values

Values are bundled with each deployment. A fresh load can receive updates after caches refresh; an open widget keeps its snapshot.

Featherweight & private

One hosted HTML file with local calculations and no widget analytics. Loading it still makes a hosting request and adds to page weight.

4Just want to link?

Not every spot has room for a widget. If you just want to point readers to the honest grader, this plain text link does the job:

<a href="https://honest-travel-ten.vercel.app/grade">Grade your points redemption: Honest Points</a>

A note on disclosure

The widget and link are free and carry no payment either way: embedding them isn't a paid placement. If you earn commissions on cards you write about, that's your disclosure to make, not ours; the grader itself never pushes a product.

5Questions

Is it really free?

Yes: no cost, no account, no API key. We'd love it if you keep the small attribution link under the widget, but it isn't required. The widget helps your readers and, honestly, the link helps us; that's the whole trade.

Will it slow my page down?

It adds a request for a static HTML document with inline styles and script. It loads no framework, external fonts, or images. The lazy-loading hint lets the browser defer loading; timing and performance depend on the browser and connection.

Does it track my readers?

Loading the iframe requests a page from Honest Points, so our hosting provider receives the normal request metadata. The widget sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Its calculations run locally without further requests; following its link opens the full site.

Are the grades current?

The widget bundles our planning valuations at build time. New values require a deployment and a fresh load after browser or CDN caches update. An already open widget keeps its loaded snapshot; check its Source date and current program terms.

Can I restyle it?

It adapts to light and dark automatically (it follows the reader's system theme). Beyond that it's intentionally fixed so it stays fast and self-contained. If you want a fully custom build, link to the full grader at /grade instead.
