An answer is useful only when you can see what supports it. Here is what goes into ours, what stays out, and what you should check before spending cash or points.
A route, a cabin, a balance, and a cash fare give the planner something concrete to compare. The fare is yours to supply. We do not fetch a live ticket price or connect to your loyalty account. If you leave out the fare, the result remains a planning estimate. Entering a fare improves that input; it does not verify the rest of the trip.
Use a fare you could actually buy, with the dates, bags, cabin, and cancellation rules you need. A cheaper basic fare with different restrictions is a different choice. If your plans change, run the comparison again. Your old result does not update itself when an airline changes a price.
Wallet records stay in this browser. You can explore without an account. Shared trip URLs contain selected inputs, and anyone with a link can read them. Review the details before sharing, especially balances and dates. The privacy policy explains hosting requests, optional uploads, feedback, and local storage.
Points have no universal cash price. We publish a conservative planning baseline and a separate higher achievable estimate. Both are our own assumptions. Neither establishes what your next redemption will deliver. Spending points gives up another possible use; that is why we compare their baseline value with cash rather than treating a points booking as free.

The planner estimates award prices from route and cabin assumptions. It cannot confirm live seats. Award taxes, carrier surcharges, transfer bonuses, and booking restrictions can change the comparison. Before transferring points, find the actual award and add its cash fees. A transfer may be irreversible, so a favorable planning result is a reason to investigate, not permission to skip that check.
Current recorded status: 5 of 67 cards have an issuer re-review recorded. Only cards with a recorded issuer re-review can lead an answer. A source date on a card is separate from that verification requirement. We do not infer verification from a recent-looking date or a working application link.
A pending card receives no pick, rank, winner, recommendation, or certificate-coverage claim. Its recorded issuer, annual fee, bonus requirements, program, and sources can still help you decide what to confirm. Detail pages retain visibly labeled first-year estimates and calculators based on recorded terms and planning assumptions. Those estimates are not recommendations; card terms remain under re-review. Comparisons containing a pending card show factual differences rather than a winner.
Even a verified card would need to clear the model's numerical requirements and help the specific trip. Verification would not establish that you qualify, that the issuer will approve an application, or that every benefit fits your spending. Keeping your current cards and paying cash are available decisions. See the methodology's card eligibility rules.
Affiliate payouts do not influence rankings or answers. That does not mean all links earn the same amount, or that every outbound link is unpaid. A card application or stay booking may generate a commission when its link is configured for that purpose. The disclosure belongs beside the action so you can weigh it before clicking.
